Mt. Pleasant is a wonderful community. It offers a multitude of restaurants, hotels, golf courses and pleasure activities. The Mt. Pleasant Community Center has a professional size ice rink for skating, leagues and lessons. Mt. Pleasant, and Isabella County, have a number of parks where playgrounds, hiking trails and swimming is available.

Central Michigan University has a wide variety of theatre and musical productions. Some of these are student productions while others have faculty and community resident participants. Professional groups entertain at the Soaring Eagle Resort, as well as comedy acts and musical groups at other area establishments.
